Precision Headstocks, CNC Conversion Parts and Mills

Our big new up coming products are:
A CNC ready mill that will allow the use of a Sherline,
Taig or X2 Chinese mill headstock (in fact, you could switch
between the headstock types if you wanted, or even use two
Sherline headstocks for twice the work). The mill is CNC
ready. In other words, it’s the complete XYZ with precision
ballscrews and motor mounts installed. You simply add the
headstock and the electronics (electronics are your spindle
motor and motion control electronics such as steppers/servo
and CNC control stuff).
The approximate work envelope is Z 14”, X 23”, Y 8”.
It’s a good size work envelope so you can finally do bigger
parts or more smaller ones in one setup. It’s all cast and will
be available with our patent pending mineral cast filled
column. Expect it to be far more ridged with better
dampening than X2 mill, A2Z mill and especially the Sherline
or Taig mills. You can select from ground C3 or rolled C7
grade ballscrews with zero backlash. The C7 CNC ready
price will be approximately $2,495. The ground C3 CNC
ready setup will be around $3,495
But wait, there’s more!
We are also in the process of producing a 5 axis mill with
rotating head. It will be based on the above CNC ready mill.
